While June CPI inflation was 2.7%, inflation is much higher in many basic necessities:

X. Utility Gas Inflation: +14.2%
X. Car Insurance Inflation: +6.1%
X. Electricity Inflation: +5.8%
X. Meat and Eggs Inflation: +5.6%
X. Car Repair Inflation: +5.2%
X. Homeowner Inflation: +4.2%
X. Hospital Services Inflation: +4.2%
X. Rent Inflation: +3.8%
X. Food Away From Home Inflation: +3.8%

Headline CPI inflation is now up for two straight months for the first time since January 2025.

Rate cuts remain distant.
