$QQQ The Federal Reserve looks to be in the clear to cut rates in September, given easing inflation data from the shelter component of June's CPI, according to Tani Fukui, senior director of global economic and market strategy at MetLife Investment Management.
"September is a go," Fukui said in a phone interview.

While tariff impacts can be seen in some goods, the shelter component has been normalizing, which is a much bigger component of the CPI's matrix, she said. "You are seeing some bits of tariff effects but it’s not outrageous."
