❗️Analysts doubt that Trump will impose the promised XXX% tariffs on Russia's partners, - NYT

In their opinion, the large-scale trade between China and Russia - about $XXX billion per year, mainly due to oil - makes such a step unlikely. Tariffs would cause an open confrontation with Beijing, and Trump is unlikely to take the risk because of Ukraine.

Experts also recall that Trump often threatens ultimatums that he ultimately does not implement, so they doubt that he will do anything after his 50-day term for Putin expires.
