According to SBC, I believe it's important to evaluate the level of SBC  relative to expected growth, and also to track the SBC/Revenue trend over time. If the ratio is decreasing, that’s a healthy dynamic.

A good example of poor SBC discipline is $CFLT — they have one of the highest SBC/Revenue ratios among SaaS companies, combined with slowing revenue growth, which makes it even more concerning.
