❓How would a federal “gig worker” classification end the DELIVERY APP 1099 SCAM?

Right now, apps like Uber Eats and Grubhub classify drivers as 1099 contractors — which lets them:

🚫 Skip ID verification
🚫 Avoid E-Verify
🚫 Ignore account sharing, fake names, and undocumented labor

A federal “gig worker” classification would change everything:

✅ Real ID checks — not just uploading a photo once
✅ E-Verify required — confirm legal work status
✅ Stop account fraud — platforms held liable for who’s actually working
✅ Legal accountability — real penalties for illegal labor use
