Christoph Freund maintains close ties to the team and Vincent Kompany, he's generally well-received at FC Bayern. Freund has a particularly good relationship with the club's higher-ups, including Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, who now plays a key role in many transfer negotiations, also values Freund. The latter's standing with the club's management is higher than that of Max Eberl. The next supervisory board meeting will take place on August 25, where the work of Eberl and Freund will certainly be reassessed [@kessler_philipp, @hannalein3]
