As per the agreement, the terrorists have sworn to cease attacks on convoys, security posts, or targeted operations in the Wazir Tribal Belt. In return, the Army's 54th Brigade has committed not to launch military counterterrorism operations in those specific areas. While we hesitantly respect the military, regional jirga and local tribe's decision to enter into this peace agreement with terrorists, it remains our staunch belief that the State of Pakistan should NOT negotiate with terrorists under any circumstances, allowing them time and space to regroup and re-arm.
