Data says spending “guaranteed” income is easier for retirees, such as pension or annuity income. I’d add to that list dividend income. While it’s not technically guaranteed, it’s quite reliable. I hear about total return investors finding it hard to spend in retirement because they have to sell shares. Me on the other hand am retired early and happily spending dividends from my taxable account. I agree.
