The key drivers for the fuel price increases announced by EPRA yesterday were:

▪️Increases in landed costs, with Super Petrol up by KES XXXX (+6.6%), Diesel by KES XXXX (+6.4%), and Kerosene by KES XXXX (+7.6%) per litre.
▪️Higher margins for oil marketing companies, which rose uniformly by KES XXXX per litre across all fuel types (approx. +14%).
▪️Slight uptick in storage and distribution costs, rising by KES XXXX per litre on average.
▪️Modest increases in taxes and levies, including VAT, which added around KES 1.1–1.5 per litre, depending on the product.
