You nailed it!  Posts that contain conspiracy theories & controversial takes are going to get more clicks than a post that tells the truth, because people want to be entertained, not informed.  You see a similarity when celebrities respond to posts that criticize them, but not to those who praise them.  Everyone is drawn to the drama, the controversy and the chaos.
