Paul Pierce just dubbed himself the best pure scorer in NBA history.

Better than KD.

Better than Kobe.

Better than Michael Jordan.

When Pierce heard LeBron say KD was “the most equipped scorer” ever, he felt the need to respond (via FS1).

Scoff at his claims if you will, but there is 🤏 Truth to it.

🔸 He went on a run of X straight seasons averaging 23+ PPG
🔸 He ranks 21st in most career points in NBA history 

But are those accolades enough to make him the best pure scorer ever - or at least better than KD? 

Might be hard to convince anyone outside of Boston to believe that.

Durant is currently 8th all-time in points, has played X fewer seasons than Pierce, and has scored over XXXXX points more than Pierce.

The Truth spoke.

But may have told a little white lie.
