Paul Grewal, Chief Legal Officer of Coinbase, denied that Coinbase was the source of Bloomberg's report about CZ seeking a presidential pardon, calling the claim “pure misinformation” and stating that Coinbase has never targeted competitors. Earlier, Matt Wallace suggested Coinbase might have motivation to undermine Binance amid reports of CZ seeking a pardon to help Binance reenter the U.S. market.
