The question for Olusegun Obasanjo, one of the architects of Nigeria’s ruin, is this.

What exactly did Nigeria need Muhammadu Buhari for at the point of his death in London? Nothing. Obasanjo was merely engaging in loose talk.

When Nigeria truly needed Muhammadu Buhari, he vanished.

He abandoned his responsibilities, disappeared during crises, and handed the country over to a cabal of third-rate, incompetent, and utterly useless cronies, who drove it straight into the ground. 

(Even Buhari’s clinic mate, former Head of State Abdulsalami Abubakar, had something to say about the disaster he called a cabinet.)
