Unwound my hedge at $.0064 but didn't get a fill on the spot side so I chased the price down to $.0058 Left $7.5k on the table due to terrible execution. In my jurisdiction perps are taxed differently than spot. Ideally I would've wanted to make gains on my perps positions and losses on my spot holdings. So as the price went up I became impatient and tried to unwind the trade quickly. Should've just waited for volatility to die down or at least unwind the trade in increments instead of a single block which is what I usually would do. At least I have to pay less in taxes 🙂🥲 Still netted a profit of $12.8k but I'm mad af lmao. Time for some leveraged revenge trading.
