NEAR uses TEEs to secure hardware zones that run AI models privately and tamper-proof. This means data and models stay confidential and can’t be altered during execution.

Before deployment, AI models get a cryptographic hash which is like a unique digital fingerprint. Users can verify this hash matches the model running inside the TEE, thereby ensuring no unauthorized changes.

Models are stored as encrypted virtual machines (CVMs), which only decrypt inside TEEs. This keeps models safe from misuse or exposure, even from node operators.

All AI model hashes and computation results get recorded on NEAR’s blockchain for public verification and transparency. 

Anyone can audit to confirm an AI is genuine, or not.
