Yes – data from CryptoQuant and other sources show that Bitcoin balances on OTC (over-the-counter) desks have dropped massively since 2021. They’ve gone from ~486,000 BTC to somewhere between 115,000–156,000 BTC – a ~70% reduction.

Large institutions (ETFs, companies, whales) have been buying directly from OTC desks to avoid impacting the public exchange price.

As OTC supply dries up, these buyers will have no choice but to buy on public exchanges – which will push prices higher much faster.

Institutions are hoarding Bitcoin OTC… once OTC supply is gone, they’ll compete on exchanges. That’s when price will explode
