The 5-year breakeven inflation rate, a gauge of expected price gains over that period of time, rose X basis points to XXXX% or one of its highest levels since May, according to FactSet. Meanwhile, long-dated U.S. government debt sold off, pushing the 30-year yield briefly to a session high of 4.99%. The yield hasn't closed at or above X% since May XX. "Tariffs are putting the market in an uncertain position as we move forward," said Ryan Jacobs, founder of Florida-based advisory firm Jacobs Investment Management.
