For the most part a normal week looks like this: Monday – Players come in and watch film & do recovery with the training staff if needed. Tuesday- This is a league wide day off (mandatory by NFL) Some players still come in for recovery or for film but that is completely voluntary. Wednesday – the team does their game plan install where they practice and learn about the specific plan against the team they will be facing on Sunday. (Full Practice) Thursday – This is usually the toughest and longest practice as they prep for the upcoming game and work through everything. Friday – A lighter practice that focuses on red zone (which is plays close to the endzone where we are trying to score, or where our defense is trying to stop the other team from scoring) & 2-minute drills Saturday – A brief walkthrough with the players (No pads or excessive contact, just making sure they remember the game plan). If they are playing at another teams stadium on Sunday, this is when they will fly to that city to stay the night in a hotel. Sunday – game day 🏈 Some vets get extra rest midweek too.
