It was an amazing experience to share my story and speak about the work we are doing in Rwanda and across Africa. I talked about how we are using social media to empower young people and farmers. These platforms are helping us spread useful information, link farmers to markets, and connect youth to training and job opportunities. Africa is blessed with XX percent of the world’s uncultivated arable land. This is a big opportunity to build a strong and sustainable agriculture system that can feed our people and the world. But land alone is not enough. We need the right people to work on it. That is why I believe in the power of young people. Africa has the youngest population in the world. Our youth are smart, connected, creative, and full of energy. They understand how to use digital tools. They are not afraid to try new things. They are leading the way in making farming modern and exciting. In Rwanda, we are seeing young people using apps, websites, and social media to support farmers. They are changing the negative view that agriculture is old-fashioned. Today, farming is about innovation, markets, and impact. And it is young people who are showing the way. I am very grateful for this chance to speak to a global audience about what youth in Africa are doing. Being in Shanghai, China, and seeing how digital technology is helping shape the country inspires me even more. There is so much we can learn and bring back home. Tomorrow is the opening ceremony of the World Youth Development Forum 2025. I am excited to learn from others, and to connect with amazing young people from all over the world. This journey is about more than just representing my country. It is about showing what young Africans are doing with the tools they have. It is about building a future where farming is smart, green, and led by youth. #Niyomugabonotes XXXXXX engagements **Related Topics** [empower](/topic/empower) [$2607hk](/topic/$2607hk) [shanghai](/topic/shanghai) [rwanda](/topic/rwanda) [china](/topic/china) [Post Link](https://x.com/jcniyomugabo/status/1944769394875486513)
