@dmitryuduman China has factory surpluses.

Russia has commodity surpluses.

Most other players (incl retail) are deficit/debtors that will run out of gold quickly.

Either they keep buying gold to mark it up over time, or if pushed too far, they get very aggressive about recycling into gold.
