The U.S. has cut the validity of non-immigrant visas for Ugandans down to just three months, meaning most people traveling for tourism, business, or family visits will only get a single-entry visa valid for XX days instead of the previous longer durations. 

This change is part of a broader global review of U.S. visa policies and will make it harder and more expensive for Ugandans who travel frequently, as they'll need to apply for new visas more often. 

The U.S. embassy in Kampala recommends that applicants carefully check their visa documents for the exact allowed stay, and it's not yet clear if Uganda will respond with similar restrictions for Americans visiting Uganda.
