Being into NFTs today reminds me of being an F1 fan in the USA XX years ago, when it was hard to find anyone who cared about the sport.

That shifted heavily in 2019 when “Drive to Survive” came out. Most new fans rooted for Ricciardo simply because he was the face of Season X.

For those of us who had been watching for years, it was exciting to see the momentum build. Lewis’ existing global fame brought in a whole wave of attention and new fans started to find their homes as they learned more about the different teams. Each new wave made the sport feel bigger and more alive.

Now there are three races in the US, F1 bars in major cities, and merch out in the wild daily. Don’t forget about the movie too.

Do I have a favorite team and driver? Of course. But I’ve also seen how growing the pie lifts everyone. Same goes for NFTs.

Our world is still niche, but every time a project breaks through, it helps the whole space. So yeah, we’ll cheer for Pengus taking over the timeline, for Chimpers and their upcoming drop, for Yuga and Otherside, for Rekt drinks, and for any team bringing good energy to our corner of the internet. Their success isn’t our failure.

As for Meebits? I see us like Red Bull in the early 2000s. New. Scrappy. Building toward something big on a legacy foundation. I might end like Horner in 2045 but God knows we’re working hard to engineer a whole lot of race and championship wins over these next twenty years. See you at the finish line 🏁.
