Starknet’s best shot at catching up with OP Stack and Arbitrum is to double down on what makes it unique: cutting-edge zk tech, Cairo-native smart contracts, and its lead in ZK-rollup decentralization—but it needs to make onboarding easier for both users and developers, especially those coming from EVM backgrounds.

A clear path would be to aggressively improve developer tooling and documentation, expand support for familiar programming languages, offer strong long-term incentives tied to real usage (not just airdrops), and market its technical milestones—like being the first ZK L2 to hit “Stage 1” decentralization—as proof of its staying power and innovation edge.

If Starknet can make building and using zk-powered apps as seamless as on OP Stack or Arbitrum, while highlighting its unique scalability and security, it could carve out a dominant position as the ZK ecosystem matures and more projects look for something beyond optimistic rollups.
