Thinking aloud:

It's 2030, crypto has received more adoption, every app and service is coming onchain.

@irys_xyz mainnet is already live (ofc), they've succeeded in capturing X% of a $3trillion data market, Big Ai Web2 companies have started seeing the advantage of decentralised and onchain systems (privacy problems have been fixed) they've started flocking into platforms like Irys, drawn by its efficiency and cost. The world is ready for a new era of value, where intellectual property (IP) and datasets isn’t just a legal footnote but a prized asset, tokenized and traded onchain

 there's me.....

I took a career in data science (specialising in LLM training datasets), started working as a datasets vendor on @TryBrickroad , I source for high-quality datasets directly to AI companies. (Just like the early days of YouTube, when creators realized they could turn passion into profit). Now, my mornings are mine. I wake up in my apartment, sunlight streaming through the window, and brew a cup of coffee while my dashboard loads. The brickroad interface is sleek and sexy. Today, I see three new orders: a startup in Singapore needs curated text data for a multilingual chatbot, a research lab in Berlin wants sentiment analysis datasets, and a gaming company in Tokyo is hunting for dialogue trees. My payouts from last week—($70,000) have already hit my ledger. I grin, knowing Gen wealth is along the corner.

My job is simple but tiring. I scout for quality data—public domain texts, images , open-source repositories—and clean it up. I upload my datasets to brickroad, where they’re stored on Irys ledger. Companies bid for my work, and I set my own prices. It’s not just about the money; it’s about the freedom. I work from home, set my own hours, and have time to live—really live. I take afternoon walks with my girlfriend, or spend weekends with my family, touching grass, and it feels damn good.

Irys ecosystem is thriving. Hundreds of applications on its mainnet, from private LLM training markets, social networks, gaming platforms, and even virtual art galleries. Each app leverages Irys’s ability to store and verify data at scale, making it the backbone of this new internet. The world has finally caught up to the idea that data and creativity are the new gold. I’m not just a vendor; I’m a creator too. Last month, I tokenized a dataset I’d spent weeks curating—a collection of native oral histories translated into five languages. I listed it as an NFT on Irys, and within days, a university in Nairobi and a cultural archive in London bought shares. Every time it’s used in an AI model, I get a micro-payment. It’s not just income, it’s validation that my work matters.
But it’s not all easy. The data market is competitive, and quality is king. I spend hours scouring for unique sources, ensuring my datasets are diverse and ethically sourced. There’s also the occasional bad actor—someone trying to game the system with low-quality data—but Irys verification model catches them fast. The community on Trbrickroad is family, and we share tips on X, where I’m Tee, sharing insights with vendors from Seoul to Hong kong.

By 2031, Irys has grown to capture X% of the data market, and Trybrickroad is popular among data scientists. But now I’m working on something bigger: a decentralized archive of Native knowledge, stored on Irys, accessible to anyone, anywhere. It’s my way of giving back, of ensuring the stories and data of my people aren’t just commodities but legacies. I close my laptop and head outside. My girl waiting, her smile brighter than the morning sun. We walk hand in hand, the city alive around us, and I know this is just the beginning. In a world where data is power, I’ve found my place (not just as a vendor), but as a creator, a partner, a dreamer. The onchain revolution isn’t just changing the world, it’s changing me.
