The Frontier Constabulary (FCn) has been granted the status of a federal force through a Presidential Ordinance. 

The ordinance has been promulgated, titled the Frontier Constabulary (Reorganization) Ordinance, 2025, and has come into immediate effect.

The move aims to enhance the government's ability to maintain law and order, support law enforcement agencies, and meet various security requirements in a coordinated manner.
