Han Zheng stated that in October last year, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a successful meeting in Kazan, guiding the restart and advancement of China-India relations. As major developing countries and key members of the Global South, China and India should choose to be partners that support each other’s success, realizing the "Dragon-Elephant Dance" as the right path forward. Both sides should further implement the important consensus reached by the leaders, adhere to high-level guidance, steadily promote practical cooperation, respect each other’s concerns, and advance the sustained, healthy, and stable development of China-India relations. Jaishankar noted that following the Kazan meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President Xi, India-China relations have steadily improved. India is willing to follow the leaders’ consensus, maintain the momentum of bilateral relations, promote mutually beneficial cooperation, and strengthen communication and coordination in multilateral mechanisms. India supports China, as the rotating chair, in successfully hosting this year’s Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.
