been reading about something wild happening on @NEARProtocol lately

apps are now getting the ability to act on their own
not just sit there waiting for us to use them
but literally hold value and take actions without human input

it’s not sci-fi. it’s already live

example
• a weather app that collects tips and uses it to buy better data
• a to-do app that rewards users with tokens when they complete tasks
• apps that pay for their own storage or talk to other apps

all this is possible because on NEAR
apps can have accounts just like users
they can hold tokens
they can pay for stuff
they can make decisions

so instead of apps being tools
they’re becoming digital entities

some people are already building like this on NEAR
apps that manage themselves
apps that reward users automatically
apps that evolve

this isn’t just a tech upgrade
it’s a shift in how apps exist on the internet

apps might start building and interacting
not just waiting for us

weird shift
but also really cool.
