Georgetown Professor James Angel has apparently been the go-to interview for the financial media for decades. 

I don't know if he was a claimant in this case, but in the interview he says his friends were.

 I'd ask Angel, but he blocked me long ago when I asked him questions about his alleged close ties to the $MMTLP case.

"Some of my friends got their checks in the mail right in time for Christmas," said Jim Angel, a professor of finance at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Background: 
This Nasdaq price-fixing scandal was exposed in the mid-1990s. Major market makers on the Nasdaq were accused of colluding to artificially widen bid-ask spreads on stocks - which hurt investors but boosted mm's profits.
