There’s definitely some serious tension at the top of the FBI and DOJ right now, especially after the fallout over the Epstein files memo. 

Dan Bongino, who’s currently the FBI’s deputy director, has clashed with Attorney General Pam Bondi and even skipped work recently, with multiple sources saying he’s considering resigning because of disagreements over how the Epstein investigation findings were released and the decision not to disclose more records.

This public rift has led to uncertainty and frustration inside both agencies, with Bongino reportedly “enraged” about what he sees as a lack of transparency, while the DOJ and FBI leadership insist they’re united and moving forward.
