Remembering Scottish racing driver Leslie Thorne, who died aged XX #OnThisDay in 1993.

Competing in hill-climbs pre-WW2, Thorne took part in 500cc F3 during 1953. He drove an Ecurie Ecosse-entered Connaught-Lea Francis-Type A to 14th position at the 1954 British Grand Prix.
