Freezing a smart contract like the PulseChain Bridge would set a dangerous precedent affecting DeFi as a whole. 

Major DeFi protocols like Uniswap, Curve, and Balancer all use pooled contracts holding USDT/USDC freezing those would disrupt the ecosystem.

To date, Circle and Tether have never frozen tokens inside these DeFi protocols and they legally cannot.
