Palestinian-American businessman and Gaza mediator Bishara Bahbah says U.S. President Trump and the Emir of Qatar are set to speak today in an effort to break the deadlock in ceasefire negotiations taking place in Doha.

“Dear people of Gaza, I hesitated to write because there are no new updates. But the truth is that we are working hard with all the mediators to find a solution to the current impasse in negotiations,” Bahbah posted on Facebook.

“There are important meetings today between His Highness the Emir of Qatar and President Trump and we hope that these will lead to movement soon,” he added.
