SUI, APTOS, SEI etc - you hear about them because it's just X months since sonic launch and most of the institutions are already invested in others - they have to shill there bags. The next round of spillover will happen to Sonic. As Sonic beats them in every metrics and has much better infra compared to all of them. 3⃣Economic Model Not talked about much by retail and CT - as it does not affect them. But, the current economic design of blockchains dates back to BTC model. Nothing has changed much. XXX% of the Tx fees going to validators/Miners. Sonic changed it but giving XX% back to apps that generate them. It's a slow burner, but when it catches up, you will see the repercussions. First time, all three participants- Foundation, Users and validators have been included in the bespoke economic model. 4⃣Dynamic fees Again Sonic is a pioneer in thies field. An App being able to control the tx fees is a game changer. If you are relying on transaction count- keep the fee low. If you relying on high value transactions - keep the fee high (without hurting users) 5⃣New generation of Apps FeeM + Account abstraction + Gas subsidy + Dynamic fee will lead to new generation of apps. We have been talking about "One Killer App" on blockchain since decades, but until now the infra was not ready. When you combine all those X models, developers will have tools to make apps which can have successful model without having a token and still generate revenue. The users could use apps without having a gas token/wallet. 6⃣Speed & Finality Finality is again underrated. Transaction getting final in under half a second is important if you are high frequency or high value trader. It is equally important for big financial apps (living outside the blockchain) Finance is all about velocity of money, being bogged down by finality is never scalable and relying on other's confirmation is never secure & scalable. 7⃣Heavy on Research You cannot be stagnant, every week you have another L2 and every couple of months you see another L2. The Sonic team is quite heavy on research and realise they have to continue iterating. They have a lead in terms of most scalable EVM (Sonic VM and Sonic DB) and many new updates are being planned as we speak. Having a X to X year lead and maintaining that lead is no easy task. ✍️Conclusion Sonic checks all the boxes. Other's including - no supply overhang, no VC dumping. But, it takes time. For me personally, Sonic is a multicycle hold. You can exit or enter based on macro/long time frame charts, but Sonic Network will be in top X L1s if they continue building on what's already a great foundation. Why I am bullish on $S @SonicLabs
1⃣User Experience
Everything set aside, use the damn chain and you will realise that the user experience is at least X years ahead of any other L2/L1
2⃣Institutions
ETH & BTC are favorite, the spillover will happen eventually and it will happen to L1 (not L2s, have my reasons why - for another day)
The L1 that stands out, is Sonic. SUI, APTOS, SEI etc - you hear about them because it's just X months since sonic launch and most of the institutions are already invested in others - they have to shill there bags.
The next round of spillover will happen to Sonic. As Sonic beats them in every metrics and has much better infra compared to all of them.
3⃣Economic Model
Not talked about much by retail and CT - as it does not affect them. But, the current economic design of blockchains dates back to BTC model. Nothing has changed much. XXX% of the Tx fees going to validators/Miners.
Sonic changed it but giving XX% back to apps that generate them. It's a slow burner, but when it catches up, you will see the repercussions.
