A woman has been caught and handed over to the Madina Police after allegedly stealing money from a shop while posing as a customer.

According to reports, the woman visited the shop claiming she needed items worth GHS7,000 for her mini shop. After the goods were selected and packed, she said she did not have physical cash and asked to step out to withdraw money nearby.

Moments after she left, the shop owner became suspicious and decided to check her bag, only to realize that money had gone missing. The woman was quickly pursued and apprehended with the stolen money in her possession.

She has since been handed over to the Madina Police for further investigations.
