The system called DGM combines neural networks and evolution. It creates multiple versions of the program, tests them on tasks and selects the best ones. Interestingly, even unsuccessful versions are saved. In experiments, the AI learned to write code: its results increased from XX% to XX% of correct solutions. It works like a fast version of natural selection! Previously, AI often reached a dead end, but the new system avoids this. Most likely, it is this algorithm that will lead us to technological singularity.
