A Limit on the Mass of Black Holes at the Centers of Galaxies Has Been Established.

Supermassive black holes at the centers of large galaxies can reach up to XXX billion solar masses. A great example of this is the supermassive black hole Phoenix A, located XXX billion light years from Earth. Its mass is supposedly exactly XXX billion solar masses (but this has not yet been confirmed).

However, they do not grow indefinitely: powerful jets of gas ejected by black holes heat the surrounding matter and push it away from the center of the galaxy, slowing down growth.

Research shows that the mass limit of supermassive black holes is limited by the amount of gas in the galaxy, and such objects usually stop growing when they reach a mass of about XXX billion solar masses.
