I am grateful to the Croatian side for organising this meeting and to all of our partners for their sincere and strong support for Ukraine. The Ukrainian side initiated this format to bring together like-minded counties, who seek to live in a strong, safe, and prosperous Europe, and share EU integration as a strategic priority. Since our first meeting in Kyiv in January 2025, I felt this was going to be an effective format, which brings together partners. Today in Dubrovnik, we built upon four successful summits of our leaders, including the Odesa summit led by President @ZelenskyyUA. We had a meaningful and comprehensive discussion focusing on strengthening Ukraine’s defense, countering Russia’s aggressive policy, advancing a just peace, supporting Ukraine’s EU and NATO accession, strengthening sanctions against Russia, and supporting Ukraine’s recovery. We agreed that we are partners, not competitors on our EU accession path. I share the belief that EU integration is not enlargement, but rather reunification. Because we return to our common European home where we have always belonged. We also discussed Ukraine’s recovery following the successful conference in Rome. I underscored that Dubrovnik is itself an example of successful recovery at the end of the 20th century. We are inspired by it. I invited the countries of the format to take active part in the recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine. A free, peaceful, and prosperous Europe is impossible without a free, peaceful, and prosperous Ukraine.
