The people were not given access to farm but to work and work all day under the supervision of the Leopold forces who kills nd tortured them, famine came in and millions died through starvation. The amount of people who died especially children due to starvation in Congo is higher than the number killed in by the Force Pubique of Leopold II. Through history the Congo has been one of the most populous region in Africa estimated to be around a population of 8-10 million in the early 20th century.
