If true, then he is likely being held in WITSEC with the intention to roll him out at some point to testify. Additionally, not revealing as much until the appropriate time would not only be logical, but almost certainly strategic when the matter is tied at the hip to an ongoing investigation(s)...perhaps even via a secret Special Counsel already in play...and/or not divulging the existence of an ongoing Grand Jury empanelment - which is supposed to remain secret (by law) until they decide on whether or not to indict. And since many of the folks that we believe to be involved are presently in Congress (House & Senate), the existence of a Special Counsel addressing this prior to disclosure would have to remain secret to to keep the criminals, who would otherwise have insider/direct knowledge about the investigation focused on their own backs, remain in the dark until the hammer falls. This is what makes the most sense to me.
