The real story behind Kimi K2's architecture is that trillion-parameter models are starting to run comfortably on non-Nvidia hardware...

When you can't buy the best chips, you optimize the hell out of the ones you have. When you can't compete on scale, you compete on efficiency and freedom to fork.

If Chinese labs can pack more intelligence into fewer chips through clever routing tricks, Nvidia's stranglehold on the AI hardware stack starts looking shakier.

This is classic innovation under pressure. Can't get the premium chips? Fine, we'll just redesign everything to work better with what we can build ourselves.

The constraint was supposed to be the feature, not a bug to route around...
