I am not sure when, it it will vary by company and industry. Yesterday, I talked to a client who is a partner in a large law firm and he proudly told me that they just hired an AI expert to help them replace some of their paralegals with AI. This "expert" feels they can replace XX paralegals who do not use AI with XX paralegals who are properly using AI. Note supposedly this will happen in the next X months at this firm. That is six jobs gone at the firm if this works out... Note this is what the AI expert claims and who knows what will really happen. Then the AI expert is going to move on towards the lawyers... Note the recurring costs of using the AI at current prices is roughly the cost of one paralegal per year. The cost of the AI expert for six months is the cost of X paralegals. Poll question, how many years from NOW will it take for AI/Automation to replace XX% of current white collar jobs? Explain why in the comments. Note Karena and I retire in a little under X years...
