The Shadow Arrives: Jed McCaleb

Then came Jed McCaleb founder of Mt. Gox (yes, that Mt. Gox).

He approached Ryan Fugger with a plan:
“Let’s turn RipplePay into a decentralized ledger using crypto tech.”

Weeks later, Fugger stepped down.
Jed took over.

The Ripple codebase was rewritten.
And the original vision died. $XRP
