In June, the platform expanded its restaking architecture by integrating wrapped Bitcoin assets such as LBTC and xBTC. These assets, restaked via Babylon Genesis, enhanced the network’s security while unlocking dual reward opportunities through composable DeFi integrations. This structural growth, coupled with increasing institutional participation, pushed SatLayer’s Total Value Locked (TVL) to a new all time high of $XXX million in July. In parallel, SatLayer continued to expand its cross chain compatibility. By integrating with BOB, Ethereum, and BNB Chain, the protocol improved capital composability and enabled greater BTC mobility across chains. In July, SatLayer also launched the Sui City Bingo campaign, a user engagement initiative designed to boost participation through xBTC deposits and xp based rewards. Additionally, key upgrades were made to the Bitcoin Validated Services (BVS) layer. Slashing mechanisms were refined to ensure more efficient and secure staking, reinforcing the economic safety of the protocol. With these updates, SatLayer continues to establish itself as a foundational layer for Bitcoin native defi delivering programmable security, modular infrastructure, and institutional grade restaking.
