WATCH | Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu urged caution after the release of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau’s preliminary report on last month’s Ahmedabad-London Air India crash. 

He asked people not to “jump into any conclusions” and wait for the final findings, emphasising the “wonderful workforce” of Indian pilots and crew and their welfare. He noted there were technical complexities and it would be “premature” to comment further.

His statement followed the AAIB’s initial probe suggesting the crash may have been caused by both engine fuel switches being shut off seconds after take-off, reportedly amid cockpit confusion.
