🇨🇿#Czechia: The Ministry of Defence has announced a contract for 4x4 MRAP vehicles which should serve mainly as ambulances, engineers, pyrotechnics or reconnaissance vehicles.

The vehicles should carry up to ten people or four tonnes of cargo and not exceed a total weight of XX tonnes. The vehicles should also be transportable by C-130 aircraft. The ministry plans to sign the contract early next year, and the army should receive the first vehicles by the end of 2026. 

More than XX potential suppliers have already expressed interest. Important candidates may be the domestic manufacturer Excalibur Army (@excaliburarmycz) with the Patriot II vehicle, SVOS Přelouč (@ArmoredSvos) with the MARS vehicle, or the state enterprise VOP CZ (@vop_cz) with the Bushmaster vehicle from Thales. 

Other domestic candidates may also be OMNIPOL & Roshel CZ with the Senator MRAP, STV Group with the STV Golem vehicle, or Zetor Defence with the Gerlach vehicle. 

The value of the contract is CZK XXXX billion (~$1.7 billion) for XXX vehicles, including VAT.
