 oseni rufai [@ruffydfire](/creator/twitter/ruffydfire) on x 1.2M followers Created: 2025-07-12 08:05:29 UTC University of Calabar's VC and Provost of Medical college have asked all the students of the faculty of dentistry to transfer to other dental schools in Nigerian as they do not have facilities to enable the MDCN( medical and dental council of Nigeria) to come increase the quota for graduation from 10 to about 40. The school management knew from the beginning that the only have a quota of 10 and they still went ahead to over admit students more than they can graduate. Currently we have classes with numbers as high as 128, another class of 97. I am in final year class and we are 39 in my class. There is a class currently above mine who have concluded their final exam( part V BDS professional exams in May) but are been left hanging because they can't graduate the 31 of them. A few student are having suicidal thoughts already.
