The Haryana Police is not convinced by Deepak Yadav's claim that he killed his 25-year-old daughter, national-level tennis player Radhika Yadav, because of taunts from villagers, sources told India Today TV.

A day after an FIR was filed in connection with Radhika Yadav's murder, Deepak Yadav, in his initial statement, claimed he was driven to kill her because villagers taunted him, saying he lived off his daughter.

Unconvinced by the theory, the police pointed out that Deepak’s monthly income was in lakhs. “So why would anyone taunt him like that?” a police source told India Today TV, adding that Deepak would get angry over small matters.
