Not only does the DOJ not publicly announce the start of a criminal investigation with specific targets, they don't publicly announce the seating of a grand jury, either. They do not announce it when the grand jury returns a sealed indictment. Only when that indictment is UNSEALED is there any kind of public acknowledgement. This is especially true in a RICO case. Dumbasses who don't know how anything actually works and people with hidden agendas are emotionally manipulating many of you. Not only does the DOJ not publicly announce the start of a criminal investigation with specific targets, they don't publicly announce the seating of a grand jury, either.
