June 2024: −$71B deficit 
June 2025: +$27B surplus • 
Driven by record $27.2B in tariff revenue • YTD deficit still $1.34T  

Historical Note: This marks the first June surplus since 2017 (or even 2005, depending on definitions). 
A dramatic pivot fueled by steep tariff policy.
