Responding to the preliminary findings into the AI171 crash, Air India on Saturday said it would not comment on specific details, citing the active nature of the investigation.

“Given the active nature of the investigation, we are unable to comment on specific details and refer all such enquiries to the AAIB,” the airline said in a statement following the release of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau’s (AAIB) preliminary report on July XX.

Air India acknowledged its receipt and emphasised its ongoing cooperation with authorities. “We acknowledge receipt of the preliminary report released by the AAIB on XX July 2025,” it posted on X.
